Inflection, an Australian mining exploration company, has recently partnered with Fleet Space to conduct an ANT survey using ExoSphere, a microsatellite-based mineral exploration solution. The survey is being conducted on Inflection’s projects in New South Wales as part of an exploration agreement with AngloGold.

The goal of the survey is to collect large-scale, 3D subsurface data to identify potential cross-arc structures that could lead to the discovery of mineral systems and intrusive bodies. The data collected from the survey will be crucial in shaping Inflection’s interpretation of the Macquarie Arc under its post-mineral cover, helping them prioritize existing drill targets and identify new ones.

Inflection has recently identified new priority targets at their Duck Creek project in New South Wales, hidden under a thick layer of sedimentary cover. The CEO of Inflection, Alistair Waddell, expressed excitement over the insights provided by ExoSphere at the Duck Creek project, mentioning how it has accelerated the identification of high-priority drill targets.

Looking ahead, ExoSphere will be widely deployed across Inflection’s projects in the Macquarie Arc, utilizing Fleet Space’s AI-powered prospectivity insights to enhance exploration efforts in the porphyry copper-gold province. Fleet Space CEO Flavia Tata Nardini highlighted the importance of accelerating copper discoveries for the global transition to renewable energy and AI infrastructure, emphasizing their commitment to conducting the world’s largest mineral exploration survey with ambient noise tomography in support of Inflection’s data-driven exploration of the Macquarie Arc.
