On Thursday, June 27, the Arizona Science Center is hosting a special evening event featuring OceanX Expedition: Unveiling the Deep. The center will be extending its hours until 9 p.m., offering guests an exclusive look at the OceanXplorer, an advanced exploration, research, and media vessel currently in the depths of Indonesia.

Mattie Rodrigue, a Chandler native and science program director at Ocean X, will be live streaming with the center. Mattie graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in Conservation Biology and Ecology.

During this event, visitors can explore OceanXperience, an exhibition that replicates the OceanXplorer vessel and offers hands-on activities and experiments. They will also have the opportunity to tune in to a live stream with scientists on board sharing their knowledge about ocean exploration, research, discoveries, and more. Additionally, there will be a fireside chat and Q&A session with Vincent Pieribone, CEO of OceanX.

Visitors can learn from experts like Mattie Rodrigue and Vincent Pieribone during this unique experience. For more information about the event including parking details and ticket purchases visit the Arizona Science Center’s website.
