Monster Hunter Wilds, the latest action RPG from Capcom, was showcased during PlayStation’s latest State of Play event. The game is set to release in 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. In this game, players will join a special team of the Research Commission to explore the Forbidden Lands. This marks the first time in the series where hunters will face the unknown alongside their companions.

The ecosystems in Monster Hunter Wilds are home to a variety of wildlife adapted to their environmental context. From smaller monsters like the Dalthydon to larger ones like the Doshaguma and Chatacabra, players will encounter a diverse range of creatures. The gameplay introduces new features such as Seikret, rideable creatures that allow for seamless transitions from story to gameplay and traversal of vast environments.

Players will also have access to all 14 iconic weapon types from the series, each evolved with new actions. Precision Mode offers finer control over aiming, while the Hook Slingshot provides additional abilities and the ability to pick up items from a distance. Those who connect their Monster Hunter: World save data will receive bonus items in Monster Hunter Wilds, further enhancing their gaming experience.
