Leste is a seasoned professional who has dedicated his career to helping children. He has spent 25 years working in pediatric care and is thrilled to be joining UI Health Care and Stead Family Children’s Hospital, which he views as a leading example of clinical excellence and family-centered pediatric care. Leste is grateful for the opportunity to work alongside a team of outstanding professionals at the hospital, all of whom share his commitment to supporting children.
As chief administrative officer of Stead Family Children’s Hospital, Leste will provide on-site leadership, overseeing financial performance, clinical quality, and employee, physician, and community relations. Melissa Whisler, MBA, MHA, had been acting as interim chief administrative officer since January 2023 and will now transition to chief of staff to the CEO of the clinical enterprise. Together with Whisler and the rest of the team at Stead Family Children’s Hospital, Leste is committed to continuing to provide the best possible care for children while maintaining the high standards of excellence that have earned the hospital its exceptional reputation.
