On Tuesday, November 21 at 7:00 pm IST, India will host Qatar in a FIFA World Cup Qualifier match at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneshwar. The Indian team, also known as “The Blue Tigers,” is currently leading their group stage with a win against Kuwait on November 16 at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait City.

However, Qatar is one of the strongest teams in Asia and has gained three points in its last game by dominating against Afghanistan with an 8-1 victory at home. Despite being the favorites to win, an invigorated Indian team supported by their home crowd has the potential to pull off an upset against them. Winning this match will significantly increase India’s chances of qualifying for the World Cup.

In recent years, Team India has had mixed results and remains unbeaten at home. During their last face-off against Kuwait, Manvir Singh scored a goal from Mohun Bagan that secured critical three points for India. Additionally, in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers of 2019, India famously held Qatar to a 0-0 draw and is looking forward to another solid performance today to further strengthen their position in Group A.

India vs Qatar Expected Squad for FIFA World Cup Qualifiers:

India XI: Gurpreet Singh Sandhu; Nikhil Poojary, Rahul Bheke, Sandesh Jhingan, Akash Mishra; Lalengmawia, Suresh Wangjam, Sahal Abdul Samad; Lallianzuala Chhangte, Sunil Chhetri
