Veteran Spencer Mion, who has been with the VA for 11 years in the Midwest Region, has been appointed as the next Medical Center Director of the Black Hills Health Care System. Most recently, he served as the Associate Director of the Black Hills System. According to Executive Director Robert McDivitt, Mion is an excellent choice for this role due to his extensive experience and skills.

Mion holds two master’s degrees from Minnesota State University Moorhead, one in Business Administration and one in Health Care Administration. His educational background and years of experience within the VA system make him well-equipped to take on the role of Medical Center Director. As he steps into this new position, Mion will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to ensure the well-being of Veterans receiving care from the Black Hills Health Care System. Additionally, he will work closely with employees, volunteers, health care partners, and the community to fulfill the VA’s commitment to serving those who have served our country.
