A new channel dedicated to high school sports in the Acadiana region is set to launch later this year in Lafayette. In an effort to introduce the network to the community, an informational meeting is scheduled for June 13th at LCA. During this meeting, attendees will learn how local schools and coaches can participate in the channel while also earning money for their respective schools.

Both LCA and The Family Church already broadcast their sporting events and church services, showcasing their commitment to using media as an effective communication tool. With the upcoming launch of KVNTV 19.2 and its app, there is a clear initiative to expand this reach even further and bring high school sports coverage to a wider audience in Acadiana. The channel is expected to go live on September 1st and promises free high-definition broadcasts for up to 300,000 viewers in the area.

During the meeting, topics such as media-related skills such as how to livestream events, host interview or podcast shows, equipment recommendations, and other useful tips will be covered. KVNTV 19.2 aims to provide comprehensive coverage of high school sports in Acadiana region by featuring games from different schools and providing commentary from experts. The app will allow users to access live broadcasts as well as on-demand content from past events.
