Exeter City has extended the contract of midfielder Caleb Watts until January 2025. The 22-year-old joined the League One side on a short-term deal last September and impressed with his performance, scoring a goal on his debut against Cheltenham Town.

Watts, who joined Exeter City from Southampton on a free transfer, also represented Australia at the last Olympic Games. Despite a disappointing season last year due to injuries, Exeter boss Gary Caldwell praised Watts for his tenacity and hard work on the field. Caldwell believes that Watts has the potential to shine in a highly competitive environment, which is why he was offered a new contract.

The extension of the contract until January 2025 gives Watts an opportunity to prove himself and showcase his skills in his position at the club. Exeter City is confident that Watts will continue to grow as a player and contribute positively to the team in the upcoming seasons.
