Five students from the Region 14 Applied Technology Center at ConVal High School were among the top five placements at the New Hampshire Educators Rising Competition. They will now represent their region in Washington, D.C., at the National Educators Rising Conference from June 28 to July 1. The Region 14 ATC serves multiple school districts including ConVal, Jaffrey-Rindge, and Mascenic Regional.

The competition featured a range of challenges for students, such as taking on different educational roles, delivering lectures, addressing ethical educational dilemmas and more. For example, Angelina McCabe and Ella Morris collaborated on a children’s book titled “Afterschool Adventures” for kindergarten to third-grade students, earning them fifth place. Jaedin Bryan delivered a speech about her passion for education, earning fourth place in the Educators Rising Moment category. Emily Casey Hughes and Isabel Andres created an interactive felt board story called “Rabbit’s Day Out” for pre-K children, winning third place.

Accompanying these students to the national event is their instructor Sarah Grossi who has been instrumental in shaping their careers in education. At the upcoming conference, they will have access to various breakout sessions, connect with peers across the country and compete for national accolades in teaching-related events. They will also have the opportunity to listen to keynote presentations from prominent education leaders. This promises to be an enriching and educational experience for these talented students from Region 14 ATC at ConVal High School.
