Curtis Edwards, a midfielder with a decade of experience playing in Scandinavia, has recently signed with Notts County after declining a new deal with Woking, a National League team. The 30-year-old spent the last three months of the previous season with Woking, making 17 league appearances, marking his return to English football after nine years abroad.

Edwards began his career in Middlesbrough’s youth teams before moving to Sweden in 2015. There, he played for Ostersund under English manager Graham Potter and later for Djurgarden. He then moved on to Norway, where he featured for Stabaek. Richard Montague, a Notts board member responsible for recruitment, praised Edwards as a strong performer who demonstrated his quality both in Scandinavia and during his time at Woking.

Montague highlighted Edwards’ versatility in midfield and described him as a fantastic technician who is hardworking and mobile on the pitch. The addition of Edwards to Notts County’s squad will provide more depth and flexibility in midfield, allowing him to contribute in various roles on the field.
