Riccardo Calafiori, a 22-year-old Bologna defender, had the chance to meet ex-Juventus and Italy defender Leonardo Bonucci after Italy’s 1-1 draw against Croatia in Leipzig on Monday night. The meeting between Calafiori and Bonucci was captured in a picture that was posted on Instagram by their agent Alessandro Lucci, who represents both players as well as others like Mattia Perin and Dejan Kulusevski.

Kulusevski, a former Juventus player who also played for Atalanta, is now at Tottenham. Calafiori has been the subject of transfer rumors linking him to Juventus, with Bologna reportedly valuing him at €50m. However, there is also interest in the young defender from several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool, and Newcastle.

Despite being a product of the Roma academy, Calafiori’s future in the top European leagues seems uncertain as clubs compete for his signature. The meeting with Bonucci only added fuel to the speculation surrounding Calafiori’s potential transfer to Juventus or another top club.
