Everton defender Ben Godfrey is currently in a contract standoff with the club, as he is set to enter the final year of his deal at Goodison Park next month. Despite reportedly receiving an offer from Atalanta worth around €10m for his services, Godfrey’s valuation by Everton is much higher, at €15m.

In addition to Atalanta, another club has also expressed interest in signing Godfrey at that price. This has created some uncertainty for Everton, who will need to make a decision on his future soon.

Since joining Everton from Norwich City in October 2020, Godfrey has made 93 appearances in all competitions for the club. His versatility as a centre-back has made him a valuable asset for the team. However, the uncertainty surrounding his contract situation has opened the door for other clubs to make offers for him. With interest from multiple teams, Everton will need to carefully consider their options before deciding whether to sell Godfrey or negotiate a new contract with him.
