Atalanta is reportedly interested in signing Everton defender Ben Godfrey, according to several sources. However, it appears that their offer may not be enough to convince Everton to let him go.

Gianluca di Marzio and The Athletic have both confirmed that Atalanta is interested in Godfrey, who is seen as a defensive target for the Italian club. According to reports, Atalanta has offered Everton 8 million euros for the defender, but Everton values him at around 17 million euros. Another unnamed club has also made an approach for him, making it difficult for Atalanta to secure his services.

To increase their chances of signing Godfrey from Everton, Atalanta will need to increase their offer significantly. Despite only playing 16 games in the 2023/24 season, Godfrey is considered an important player for Everton and they are unlikely to let him go easily.
