At a conference of evangelicals, former US President Donald Trump implored the crowd to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming presidential election in November. Trump promised to protect religious freedom if re-elected and emphasized the importance of the evangelical vote in securing his victory.

Trump highlighted the lack of voter turnout among evangelicals and stressed the need for them to participate in the democratic process. He assured the audience that he would vigorously defend their faith and religious values, citing his previous efforts to appoint conservative justices to the Supreme Court.

The former president also touched on hot-button issues such as abortion, stating that it should be left up to individual states and people rather than federal interference. Trump accused the Democratic Party of seeking to silence Christians and weaken their influence, urging voters not only evangelicals but also gun owners to exercise their voting power.

In addition, Trump discussed his plans for immigration and national defense, promising to prioritize deportation efforts and bolster the country’s air defense system. He criticized current President Joe Biden and pledged aggressive action if re-elected.

Despite criticism from Biden campaign team labeling Trump’s speech as disjointed and chaotic, it resonated with the evangelical audience who showed support through cheers of “Vote, Vote, Vote.” As both candidates prepare for a televised debate next week, it is clear that this crucial community will play an important role in determining who will lead America forward.
