Eusebio Di Francesco, the coach of Frosinone, is considering taking the job with newly-promoted Venezia. Despite being torn between the two proposals, negotiations with Empoli have not been progressing well. Sources including Sky Sport Italia and DAZN indicate that Di Francesco will likely remain in Serie A next season with Venezia.

Di Francesco played at Empoli at the start of his career and was part of their youth academy, making it arguably his first choice. However, with Davide Nicola taking over at Empoli and leading them to Serie A safety on the final day of the season, it seems Di Francesco is closer to joining Venezia.

Venezia earned promotion through the Serie B play-offs, but coach Paolo Vanoli is looking to leave for a new experience at Torino. This leaves the door open for Di Francesco to potentially take over at Venezia. Reports suggest that a final decision from Di Francesco is expected tomorrow as he looks for his next role in Serie A.
