Euro 2024 has been a thrilling tournament so far, with several goals scored during the group stage matches. The race for the Golden Boot is still open as no player has yet scored more than two goals in the tournament. Several teams have had multiple goal scorers in their first three matches, with Spain having four different players finding the back of the net and Germany boasting six different goalscorers, two of which have scored two goals each.

One interesting trend that has emerged in Euro 2024 is the high number of own goals scored during the tournament. In the previous 16 editions of the men’s European Championship, only 20 own goals had been scored. However, 11 of those own goals were scored in the last edition in 2021. In Euro 2024, seven own goals have already been scored during the group stage matches, putting the record in jeopardy.

Here is a list of the players who have scored own goals in Euro 2024 so far:

– Antonio Rudiger (Germany) against Scotland

– Maximilian Wober (Austria) against France

– Robin Hranac (Czechia) against Portugal

– Klaus Gjasula (Albania) against Croatia

– Riccardo Calafiori (Italy) against Spain

– Samet Akaydin (Turkey) against Portugal

– Donyell Malen (Netherlands) against Austria
