ESET World in Bratislava was attended by channel partners from around the world this week. The summit focused on various topics including margin and vendor announcements, as well as emerging trends in threat intelligence, Managed Detection and Response (MDR), deepfakes, AI-generated ransomware, and ESET’s AI advisor tool.

ESET is shifting towards subscription or services models, relying heavily on its channel partners to bring these developments to market. Technical speakers from the company emphasized the importance of MDR as a key line of defense against cybercrime. They also highlighted the growing threats posed by deepfakes, state and non-state actors, and the increasing use of AI by cybercriminals to enable ransomware attacks. Cyber insurance was also discussed, prompting end-user firms to reassess their cybersecurity posture and invest in comprehensive security solutions.

CRN spoke with two of ESET’s UK partners, Millgate and Grey Matter, to get their perspectives on the discussions at the event. Stay tuned for more insights into the future of cybersecurity and how these partners plan to bring these technologies to market on the next page.
