Erie County is set to develop a new business park with the help of new investments, marking the first time in over 25 years that such a project will be undertaken. The park will be located at the intersection of Interstate 90 and Sterrettania Road in McKean Township, catering to the needs of manufacturing and logistics businesses.

The project aims to transform the economic landscape of Erie County by providing space for businesses, promoting economic vitality, job creation, and long-term sustainability for the community. Erie Co. Executive Brenton Davis said that the park will attract businesses, drive innovation, and contribute to the overall prosperity of Erie County.

The idea for the business park was initially suggested in a Competitive Realities Report from 2019 and was further reinforced by Governor Josh Shapiro’s economic strategy, which highlighted the need for ready-to-build sites to attract business expansion and attraction projects. With funding of $3.2 million from the American Rescue Plan Act, Erie County was able to acquire a 160-acre property for the park.
