Sponsored by FHSU’s Science and Mathematics Education Institute (SMEI), this event provides an opportunity for individuals to learn more about the topic of endogenous retroviruses. Dr. Eric Gillock, professor of biological sciences at FHSU, will be giving a presentation titled “Endogenous retroviruses: Hidden hitchhikers and how they spread.” These viruses are genetic parasites that act like unwanted houseguests, showing up uninvited and never leaving.
