Known for its slow, scientific roasting process and commitment to sustainable sourcing, the shop exclusively sources its coffee from women-owned farms and co-ops, particularly in Chiapas, Mexico.

Natalie Webb, the owner of Cafecita Coffee, has highlighted the importance of supporting women in the coffee industry. Women make up 70 percent of the manual labor on coffee farms but are often underrepresented as decision-makers and owners due to lack of access to land ownership. Cafecita Coffee is setting an example in the industry by being the first roaster in the country to exclusively source from women-owned farms. They continue to be the only roaster focused on empowering women by donating a percentage of every sale to women’s non-profits globally.
