Good Samaritan Health Clinic in Cullman, Alabama hosted a health expo in partnership with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System to provide clinic patients with information on nutrition, diabetes, and simple home fitness routines. Meaghanne Thompson shared her experiences living with diabetes while Della Bramley demonstrated proper food portions and meal sizes. Shanetria Orr led guests through fun exercises that can be done at home.

Patients received door prizes, resistance band sets for home exercise, and bags of fresh produce grown by Master Gardener Brad Mitchell. Good Samaritan Executive Director Jolanda Hutson announced that this event is the first of many similar events planned by the clinic to promote wellness and prevention among patients and the community. The community is invited to attend Open House events in August to learn about the services provided by the clinic, its impact in the community, and its vision for the future.

In 2025, the clinic plans to build a new, expanded facility on Veterans Drive. According to Hutson, the new location will have a larger waiting room to accommodate after-hours patient education classes and events.
