Empowering the Next Generation of Healthcare Leaders: Family Health Medical Services’ 2019 Health Sciences Award Recipients

In 2019, Family Health Medical Services established its annual Health Sciences Award to support high school seniors within Chautauqua County who are passionate about pursuing a career in healthcare. The recipients of this year’s scholarship are Elizabeth Hammond from Chautauqua Lake Central School, Jack Pietro from Fredonia High School, and Nathan Cresanti from Maple Grove Junior/Senior High School. Each student will receive $1,000 towards their college career.

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must submit a 500-word personal statement, two letters of support, and demonstrate their dedication to a career in healthcare. The award is specifically designated for qualifying high school students who are pursuing a degree in public health, health science, nursing or another health-related field.

This initiative aims to provide financial assistance to young individuals who are passionate about entering the healthcare field and help them achieve their academic and career goals. Family Health Medical Services sees the Health Sciences Award as an investment in the future generation of healthcare professionals and an encouragement for students to pursue a fulfilling career in the health sciences.
