OneTeam Partners, a successful group licensing company based in Germany, has recently teamed up with the MLBPA to launch OneTeam International, a new venture aimed at expanding their approach to the global market. This move will replicate the business success unions and their members have had domestically, providing the same level of service to athletes around the world.

OneTeam Partners was founded in 2019 and has since worked with unions from various sports leagues, including the WNBA, USWNT, and NFL, to help commercialize group licensing rights. With support from partners like HPS Investment Partners and Morgan Stanley Tactical Value, the company aims to unlock the value of these rights through private equity resources.

The international expansion of OneTeam Partners comes at a time when athletes in other countries may not have the same level of control over their commercial rights, both individually and as a group. The partnership with the MLBPA marks a significant step for OneTeam International as it seeks to empower athletes and their unions to maximize the value they receive for their rights.

According to CEO Sean Sansiveri of OneTeam Partners, this partnership is an opportunity for athletes globally to have better representation and control over their commercial rights. By providing a solution that addresses this demand, OneTeam International hopes to strengthen the position of athletes worldwide.
