During the session, we will provide an overview of the course contents and what participants can expect to learn. If you’re interested in joining, please register here.

The course is a theoretical offering available through the Virtual Campus of Public Health, brought to you by PAHO’s Health Emergencies Department as part of their effort to update and strengthen the capacity for risk communication and community engagement in preparedness, mitigation, and response to health emergencies. The curriculum is based on materials developed by PAHO/WHO, other United Nations agencies, and academic authors. Participants will gain a foundational understanding of the importance of risk communication in responding to health emergencies by learning and applying strategies that empower communities.

This online course is designed for individuals working in communications and health promotion roles within national and local health authorities, as well as other organizations involved in health emergency response. However, the content is relevant and important for anyone working in public health. The course consists of seven modules and is self-paced, with an estimated completion time of seven hours. The webinar will be conducted in English, with French interpretation provided for participants. Don’t miss out on this valuable learning opportunity!
