Empower Solano will host a ceremony honoring modest firms that effectively pivoted and kept serving the neighborhood safely through the pandemic.

5 firms will be highlighted at the affair and their owners will acquire certificates or recognition from the offices of Congressman John Garamendi, California State Sen. Bill Dodd and California Assemblymember Lori D. Wilson.

The director of the California Workplace of Little Small business Advocates, Tara Lynn Gray, will be keynote speaker. Tim Murrill, executive director of the Solano-Napa Little Small business Improvement Center, will also speak.

The occasion will take spot at ten a.m. Wednesday at the Solano-Napa Little Small business Improvement Center, 500 Chadbourne Road, Fairfield.

The public is invited and organization owners, entrepreneurs or any individual attempting to start off a organization are encouraged to attend. Admission is free of charge. Refreshments will be served.

“We want to spend tribute to modest firms that have carried out an exceptional job maintaining their doors open and serving the public through unprecedented situations more than the final 3 years,” mentioned K. Patrice Williams, Empower Solano’s executive director and Fairfield city councilmember, in a press statement. “The occasion will also be a excellent chance for any individual in organization or searching to start off a organization to network and get some precious insights on sources out there to them in the county and at the state level.”

Firms becoming honored are Journey Coffee of Fairfield and Vacaville and the company’s owners Morne and Nicole Van Staden Bay Hauling of Vallejo and its owner Juan Vallejos Two60 Kitchen and Bar of Fairfield and owner Molly Tau Marina Lounge of Suisun City and owner Elease Cheek and Tomorrow Property Supportive Living, positioned in Fairfield and owned by Duke and Gabrielle Phillippe-Auguste.

The occasion marks National Little Small business Month, which is held just about every year in Might to commemorate the contributions modest firms bring to their communities.
