Hempel has recently appointed Emilie Barriau to the position of Chief Technology Officer, a new role within the executive group management as part of their growth journey. Barriau brings 15 years of international experience in senior innovation roles at Henkel Adhesives Technologies, where she worked across various industries globally. In her most recent role at Ecolab for Europe and IMEA, she led the research, development, and engineering organization. Her expertise in innovation will be instrumental in driving Hempel’s Double Impact strategy forward and ensuring that innovation is given more emphasis at the highest level of the organization.

As the new technology executive vice president, Barriau will oversee R&D, procurement, and sustainability. Michael Hansen, the group president and CEO of Hempel, expressed his excitement about Barriau joining the team and highlighted her ability to connect with others, strong business acumen, and customer focus.
