Embraer Phenom 300E, the most flown aircraft in the US and the best-selling light jet over the past 12 years, was on display at EBACE. This compact aircraft boasts a best-in-class speed of Mach 0.80 and is just 51 feet long. Despite its small size, it offers a range of around 2,300 miles and requires only one pilot to operate, reducing operational costs for customers.

I had the opportunity to explore the interior of the Embraer Phenom 300E at the European Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition in Geneva last May. The cabin, at less than five feet tall, was a tight squeeze but designed for shorter journeys. Priced at $10 million, this jet leads the light-jet sector due to its speed and range capabilities.

Embraer, the third main player in the commercial airliner industry behind Boeing and Airbus, focuses on smaller narrowbody jets like the E175 and E195. These four-abreast regional jets differ from the larger six-abreast Boeing 737 or Airbus A320 models. Despite rumors of a new narrowbody jet in development to directly compete with Boeing and Airbus, Embraer remains committed to selling its current successful products and strengthening its position in the market.
