A settlement has been reached between X Corp and Adeia Inc in their lawsuit over streaming-technology patents. X Corp, founded by Elon Musk, had sought declaratory judgment that it did not infringe on Adeia’s patents, despite Adeia’s claims to the contrary.

Judge Trina L. Thompson of the US District Court in the Northern District of California had agreed to stay the case until the end of the month. However, she made it clear that future court dates would not be vacated until a final settlement agreement was submitted for her approval.

The details of the settlement agreement have not been disclosed, but it appears that both parties have come to a resolution in the case. X Corp and Adeia will likely be moving forward without the need for further litigation.

This settlement marks the end of a legal dispute between the two companies and allows them to focus on their respective businesses moving forward. It is a common outcome in lawsuits to reach a settlement rather than continue with costly and time-consuming court proceedings.
