Greece is set to become the European hub of innovation and sustainability with the construction of its largest and greenest smart city, Ellinikon. The $8 billion project, which has been in development for over a decade, aims to create a “zip-code paradise” that combines cutting-edge technology with eco-friendly infrastructure.

The centerpiece of the project is the Riviera Tower, which will be Greece’s first skyscraper. Standing tall at 300 meters high, the tower will offer breathtaking views of the surrounding coastline and provide a unique urban experience for visitors.

Situated on the grounds of a former Athens airport, Ellinikon will boast a high-end mall, a sports park, and state-of-the-art amenities. The first phase of the project is expected to be completed by 2026 and is projected to attract over a million new tourists and contribute €3.3 billion ($3.6 billion) to the Greek economy.

Ellinikon is part of a global trend of new high-tech cities being developed around the world. Many of these cities are located in China or the Middle East, but Greece is setting itself apart as a leader in sustainable practices and modern amenities.

With its stunning views, advanced technology, and eco-friendly infrastructure, Ellinikon is poised to become Europe’s premier destination for innovation and sustainability.
