For 11 years, Jeff Stoutland was the position coach of Jason Kelce in Philadelphia. In 2013, he was hired by Chip Kelly and continued to serve as the offensive line coach under Doug Pederson and Nick Sirianni. Stoutland has gained a reputation as one of the best OL coaches in the league. On Monday, he spoke to the media about his mixed emotions regarding Kelce’s retirement.

Stoutland expressed feeling both happy and sad about Kelce’s decision to retire. He said, “I was very happy for him, but also very sad because I feel like I lost a very close friend and partner in this whole process.” He emphasized Kelce’s dedication and work ethic, saying, “He gave it everything he had, mentally and physically. I don’t know what else you could ask for in a player.”

Stoutland also commented on Kelce’s achievements in his career, praising him for maximizing his potential. Kelce finished his career as a Super Bowl champion, seven-time Pro Bowler, and a six-time first-team All-Pro. Stoutland highlighted Kelce’s impact on the team and the city of Philadelphia, noting that Kelce’s commitment and hard work exemplify what fans want to see in a player.
