The Eden Prairie High School girls and boys lacrosse teams had successful games on Monday night, securing their respective section championships. The No. 1 Eagles girls’ team defeated the No. 4 Chanhassen team 11-8 in the Section 2A semifinals, with senior Avery Wallace scoring five goals and reaching her 100th career goal milestone. The girls will now host the No. 2 seed Minnetonka team for the Section 2A championship on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Meanwhile, the No. 4 EP boys’ team secured a close win over the No. 1 seed Prior Lake team in the Section 6A semifinals held at Prior Lake, with a final score of 8-7. After a halftime deficit of 5-2, the Eagles had a strong second half performance, led by senior Danny Burke who scored three goals, including the crucial game-winning eighth goal. Burke showcased his skills by maneuvering past two defenders and the goalie to secure the win for his team. The boys will now travel to Edina for the Section 6A championship on Wednesday night.
