Our recent survey on seat recline in economy class has provided us with a range of opinions on the topic. We asked 437 participants whether economy passengers should be able to recline their seats at any time, only after meals, only at night, or never. The results were as follows:

– Never – seats should be partially reclined and go no further: 168 votes (38.4%)

– Anytime – their seat, their choice: 63 votes (14.4%)

– Only after meal service: 50 votes (11.4%)

– Only at night and after meal service: 156 votes (35.7%)

The survey results reveal that there is no clear consensus among economy passengers on seat reclining etiquette. While some believe passengers should be able to recline their seats whenever they want, a majority prefer more restricted or considerate practices. Many participants either think seats should be partially reclined or only reclined after meal service and at night.

What stood out most from the survey was the wealth of feedback we received from participants with various ideas and opinions on the topic. We thoroughly enjoyed reviewing it and have decided to share all the responses with our audience for their enjoyment.
