Bill Nye “the Science Guy” is heading to Central Texas for the total solar eclipse on April 8. The Planetary Society, led by the 68-year-old TV personality and science educator, will host a two-day Texas Hill Country camping experience on April 7-8 in Fredericksburg. This exclusive event is only open to members of the Planetary Society, which can be joined for a one-time annual fee of $50 during the Eclipse-O-Rama registration process.

The Eclipse-O-Rama festival will feature an array of science enthusiasts, including YouTuber Mark Rober, science educator Science Bob, and Planetary Society radio host Sarah Al-Ahmed. Tickets for the festival are priced at $325 per person and cover daytime programming from Sunday through Monday night. Children aged 5 and younger can attend for free.

Attendees can expect a lineup of engaging speakers and activities related to space exploration and scientific discovery. In addition to watching the eclipse with Bill Nye himself, ticketholders will have access to food and other amenities provided by the Planetary Society.
