On May 11, 2024, at around 5:30 p.m., a man was bitten by a large, brown shepherd-type dog in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The incident occurred at the Maple Manor Hotel. Following the bite, the dog fled southeast between South Hastings Way and US Highway 53.

The Eau Claire City-County Health Department is now seeking the public’s assistance in locating this dog and ensuring that it is current on its rabies shots.
