The Eagles have officially signed another player from their 2024 draft class. Defensive back Cooper DeJean, selected as the No. 40 overall pick in the second round, has agreed to a four-year rookie deal with Philadelphia.

During his college career at Iowa, DeJean recorded an impressive resume of accomplishments. He was named the Big Ten defensive back of the year and the conference’s return specialist of the year in 2023. Additionally, he received first-team All-Big Ten honors twice during his time at Iowa.

DeJean’s playmaking abilities on defense and as a return specialist were key factors in his draft selection by the Eagles. His seven interceptions, three of which were returned for touchdowns, and 13 passes defensed proved that he is a valuable addition to the team’s defense.

The signing of DeJean marks the eighth rookie from the Eagles’ 2024 draft class to sign with the team. With only one remaining unsigned pick from the 2024 draft – first-round cornerback Quinyon Mitchell – Philadelphia continues to work on finalizing deals with their drafted players as they prepare for the upcoming season.
