EA Sports has released an official gameplay video for its new College Football 25 video game. The nearly five-minute long video showcased various elements and features of the game, including the use of players’ name, image, and likeness. This change allowed EA Sports to release a new college football game since 2013.

The video was narrated by ESPN commentator Kirk Herbstreit and began with a look at some of the game’s standout players, such as Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon II and Ohio State receiver Emeka Egbuka. The gameplay also included notable features like a “wear and tear” system to track player injuries and specific player abilities to differentiate between top players and average ones.

Michigan running back Donovan Edwards was one of the cover athletes for the game, alongside other players like Colorado’s Travis Hunter and Texas’ Quinn Ewers. The gameplay showcased various teams, including USC, UCLA, Washington, and animations of Wisconsin, providing a glimpse of the game’s dynamics and visuals.

EA Sports College Football 25 is set to be released on July 19, making it the first title in the series since NCAA Football 14 in 2013. The announcement of the game came ahead of the 2021-22 college football season, which marked the beginning of the NIL era. Players who opted into the game received compensation in the form of $600 and a complimentary copy of the game.
