In the first quarter of 2024, the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation in Dubai issued over 800,000 security permits to facilitate entry into its ports and free zones. This move underscores the corporation’s commitment to maintaining high standards of security and safety in these areas, solidifying Dubai’s reputation as a secure commercial hub in the region.

Nasser Al Neyadi, CEO of the corporation, emphasized the importance of providing a safe environment for individuals, companies, and workers in free and economic zones. The increase in security permits compared to the previous year demonstrates the efforts made to enhance security measures to support development and bolster Dubai’s global standing as a trade and business destination.

The corporation oversees eight areas under its supervision, including ports like Jebel Ali, Jafza, Port Rashid, among others. The active movement seen in these areas has led to an increase in vehicle entries. This reflects the efforts to provide a secure environment for businesses and individuals, leading to increased demand and business volume.

Al Neyadi highlighted the development of an advanced “Tasreeh” system for issuing security permits that streamlines processes using technology. The corporation is dedicated to staying ahead of developments by investing in specialized training programs for its security personnel to maintain safety and security standards.

In addition to technological advancements, the corporation collaborates with government agencies and partners worldwide to exchange knowledge and implement best practices in security and safety. By utilizing data analysis and modern technologies such as AI-powered predictive analytics tools, it aims to anticipate future challenges proactively while enhancing its readiness levels efficiently.

Overall, this issuance underscores Dubai’s commitment towards ensuring high levels of security while maintaining its position as a leading trade hub globally.
