Drake University’s Zimpleman College of Business is proud to announce the newest group of students who have been recognized on the Dean’s Honor Roll for Social Impact. This cohort of eleven students completed and reported at least 20 hours of community service during the Spring 2024 semester. In addition to completing their volunteer work, students also offered reflections on how their service activities influenced themselves, their community, and their professional growth.

Matthew Bell, Jaxon Hicks, Isabella Lopez, Natalie Maxwell, Elliot Nelson, Erika Roehrs, Isabella Schreiter, Marguerite Stoffel, Anna Sturgis, Aiden Volp, and Matthew Williams were named to the Spring 2024 Dean’s Honor Roll for Social Impact. Each student demonstrated a strong commitment to volunteering and making a positive impact in their community.

Alejandro Hernandez, dean of the Zimpleman College of Business expressed his appreciation for recognizing students’ dedication to volunteering. He stated that this practice instills the value of service within the college community and encourages students from various academic levels to recognize the positive impact their contributions make both personally and professionally.

Undergraduate and graduate business students are encouraged to strive for inclusion in the upcoming fall semester cohort. Each semester presents a new opportunity for students to complete a minimum of 20 hours of community service and reflect on their experiences through Drake’s platform DUGood. Instructions on how to join and document service impacts can be found in the Dean’s Honor Roll for Social Impact section on the Zimpleman College of Business website.

This recognition program is an excellent way for Drake University’s business school students to develop leadership skills by engaging with their communities while also learning about social impact strategies that can benefit them throughout their careers.
