Nelly Korda announced on Friday that she will not be participating in the upcoming LET event due to a dog bite she suffered. The incident occurred in Seattle over the weekend and Korda expressed regret for having to withdraw from the Ladies European Tour tournament in London, stating that she needed time to receive treatment and recover fully. Despite this recent setback, Korda thanked the LET, sponsors, and fans for their understanding and mentioned that she looks forward to getting back on the course soon.

In other news, Alison Lee also suffered a dog-bite injury this season when she was bitten by her boyfriend’s Pomeranian in January. This resulted in a hospital stay and caused her to miss events, including the Aramco Saudi event. The LPGA will be off for the next week before returning for the Amundi Evian Championship in France from July 11-14, which is the fourth major of the season.

Korda’s mixed results this season include a win at the Chevron Championship, followed by missed cuts in the U.S. Women’s Open and the Women’s PGA. Despite these challenges, Korda remains optimistic about her future on tour and is determined to continue competing at a high level.
