Doncaster Rovers have announced the signing of winger Jordan Gibson on a two-year deal with an additional 12 month option. The 26-year-old left Carlisle United after scoring nine goals in 45 appearances during the 2023-24 season, adding to his total of 20 goals in 143 appearances over three years with the club.

Gibson, who came up through the ranks at Rangers, has also had stints with Bradford, as well as clubs in Ireland such as St Patrick’s and Sligo. Doncaster boss Grant McCann expressed his excitement about the signing, noting that Gibson’s direct style of play, ability to score goals, and confidence on the pitch will be a valuable addition to the team.

With his knack for setting up goals and his willingness to take on defenders, Gibson is expected to bring a level of excitement to the Doncaster Rovers fans. McCann believes that Gibson’s swagger and confidence make him a strong signing for the team, and he is looking forward to seeing what the winger can bring to the squad.
