Miami Dolphins cornerback Xavien Howard is currently searching for a new NFL team while facing serious allegations off the field. Recent court filings obtained by CBS News Miami claim that Howard has been accused of sharing sexually explicit photos and videos of himself and other women in order to humiliate them and cause emotional distress. He is also alleged to have sent this material to a minor boy, further escalating the situation.
In one filing, referred to as “John Doe,” it is explained that Howard had access to a woman’s children’s cell phone numbers so she could communicate with him if her own phone died. The woman would delete the text messages between herself and Howard on the other phones before coming back to her own. On one occasion, Howard allegedly sent sexually explicit material of the woman to her son during a disagreement between them. The son, a minor at the time, found this content on his iCloud account after it had been erased from his phone by the mother. Furthermore, Howard is said to have impregnated the woman and demanded she undergo an abortion.
Another filing, known as “Jane Doe,” accuses Howard of distributing numerous sexual videos and photos of various women to others. When Jane discovered this, she questioned Howard about sharing these materials with third parties. Howard reportedly admitted that he deliberately did so to upset her because she had refused to engage in sexual activities with him.
Howard left the Miami Dolphins in March after three years left on his five-year, $90 million contract, resulting in a savings of $18.5 million for the team. At 30 years old, he is now a free agent seeking a new team but facing these serious allegations off the field.
