The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and OneOp are joining forces to present a webinar on April 17th that focuses on the benefits of connecting with nature for improved health and wellness. The webinar will be held from 10-11 a.m., and participants can register for the free event at https://tx.ag/OneOpNature. Once registered, attendees will receive an email with instructions on how to attend the webinar, as well as a link to access it. For those unable to access the link, the webinar will also be available on YouTube Live.

Technical support is available by contacting OneOp at contact@oneop.org. The webinar will offer up to one continuing education unit for many professional programs, and more details and a complete list of eligible programs can be found on the OneOp website.

Rachel Brauner, Program Specialist at AgriLife Extension in Bryan-College Station, will discuss the latest research on the health benefits of spending time in nature, as well as practical programs and initiatives for participants to consider. Debra Kellstedt, another specialist at AgriLife Extension in Bryan-College Station, will be the featured speaker and will cover topics such as identifying health and wellness benefits of nature, discussing enablers and barriers to connecting with nature regularly, and exploring programs that help individuals, families, and communities get outside more.

Overall, this webinar aims to highlight the importance of spending time in nature for improved health and wellness.
