In fact, Condé Nast Traveller recently revealed its list of the 71 most beautiful streets in the world, and London was among those honored.

Among London’s countless pretty lanes, alleys, and mews, Portobello Road stood out to Condé Nast Traveller (CNT). Located in west London and stretching from North Kensington to Notting Hill Gate, Portobello Road is known for its vibrantly-painted terraced houses, popular foodie spots, and bustling market. The market operates from Monday to Saturday with shorter hours on Sundays. Visitors can also explore record stores, charity shops, pubs, and bakeries in the area.

Other streets that made the list include Rue de l’Abreuvoir in Paris, Tetsugaku No Michi in Kyoto and lanes in Burano, Bruges and Buenos Aires. CNT highlighted Portobello Road’s history noting its transformation from a country lane connecting Portobello Farm to Kensal Green to a vibrant destination that has attracted visitors from around the world.

Notting Hill is not only famous for its picturesque streets but also offers an array of options for exploration beyond just walking tours. From pubs and bars to restaurants and activities there is something for everyone in this colorful neighborhood of west London.
