After the recent tornadoes, many are left picking up the pieces, including one Railroad Avenue business that is now closing its doors due to the damage. City Dogs Cafe owner, Mike Robinson, expressed his sadness at the closure, stating that this is the end of his venture. The floors of the cafe are still covered in water, exemplifying the challenges that lie ahead for the business.

For Robinson, City Dogs was more than just a business; it was a personal endeavor that required numerous sacrifices to get to where it was before the tornado hit. The devastation of losing the business has been difficult for Robinson, comparing it to raising a child that doesn’t turn out as planned. He expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support he has received during this challenging time.

Even as he focuses on cleaning out City Dogs, Robinson remains hopeful that people will continue to support his other business, Ma’s Diner. Volunteers, like Marie D’Addario, have stepped up to help clean out the cafe and show support for the community. D’Addario mentioned the resilience of the community in the face of adversity, demonstrating the strength and spirit that exists within the area.
