Despite currently playing through a sore left knee in the NBA Finals, Luka Doncic has expressed interest in participating in an Olympic qualifying tournament for his native Slovenia. Even though he is concerned about his knee, Doncic stated that if it feels good, he plans to take part in the tournament.

Slovenia faces tough competition in the Olympic qualifying group, which includes powerhouse teams like Greece with Giannis Antetokounmpo as well as New Zealand, Croatia, Egypt and the Dominican Republic. Only one team from this group will secure a spot in the Paris Olympics, making the competition intense.

Doncic’s commitment to playing for Slovenia showcases his dedication to both his NBA team and his country. Despite facing challenges this season, Doncic is eager to continue representing Slovenia on the global basketball stage. He expects to have played around 95 games by the end of the NBA Finals, but this number does not include the World Cup that took place before the season. Despite a grueling schedule, Doncic remains determined to participate in international competitions and represent his country on a global stage.
