Despite being listed as questionable for Game 2 of the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics on Sunday night, star player Luka Doncic is expected to be available. He has been dealing with a chest contusion, right knee sprain, and left ankle soreness throughout the playoffs, but has continued to perform at a high level. In 18 playoff games this year, he has averaged nearly 29 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists.

The Mavericks are currently down 1-0 in the series and have concerns about Doncic’s recent downgrade. While he has been available for every game despite being listed as questionable in the past, his recent injuries add to his injury list. In Game 1, Doncic scored 30 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, but struggled with his shooting efficiency and playmaking, recording just one assist.

For the Mavericks to have a chance of winning Game 2, they will need Doncic to be at his best both as a scorer and playmaker. With a series deficit, history shows that teams down 2-0 in a seven-game series have a low chance of coming back. The game is scheduled to tip off at 8 p.m. ET.
