As a business owner and community member, Ron McCoy, a Democrat, has announced his candidacy for Lyon County Commission. In an interview with KVOE News, McCoy expressed his desire to give back to the community by serving in local government. If elected, his primary focus would be to attract and grow businesses throughout the county, particularly those that can afford to pay higher wages.

In the Second District race, which will be filled by Peck’s successor, McCoy is running as the lone Democrat against a Republican primary challenger.
