Deloitte’s “Fast 500 EMEA” list highlights the impressive growth of 16 Portuguese companies in the technology sector. These companies have seen an average growth of 810 percent over the past three years, showcasing their innovative and scalable business models. The continued success of these companies is evident as 30 percent of the companies in the first ranking made it onto the second list.

Pedro Brás da Silva, an associate partner at Deloitte Portugal, expressed his satisfaction with the representation of Portuguese companies in the ranking, noting that 32 percent of the companies from the first edition of the Technology Fast 50 Portugal were included in the international list. This signifies the talent and entrepreneurial capacity that Portugal possesses in hosting globally relevant technology companies.

The 16 featured Portuguese companies have shown substantial growth in terms of employment, with an average of 229 employees in 2019 increasing to 830 workers by the end of 2022, a remarkable 262 percent increase. This growth is a testament to the innovation and talent present in Portugal’s technology sector.
