Deloitte, a global consulting and advisory firm, recently acquired significant assets from End Point related to their disease surveillance business, CasePointer. The acquisition of End Point’s CasePointer will bring onboard the software engineers, DevOps engineers, cloud developers, former public health officials, and epidemiologists from the company to join Deloitte.
This acquisition aligns with Deloitte’s ongoing investments in technology and expertise in the public health sector. Jason Salzetti, principal at Deloitte Consulting LLP and Deloitte’s government and public services industry leader, stated that this move enhances their customizable and human-centered solutions and supports their expansion into new markets. It demonstrates Deloitte’s commitment to IndustryAdvantage and deepening their industry expertise to improve the critical work they provide for their public health clients.
End Point’s CasePointer uses open-source public health software to create tools and automate processes for state and local public health agencies in regards to their epidemiologic needs and disease surveillance. The acquired assets from End Point will be integrated into Deloitte’s GovConnect digital assets, which include public sector digital modules and AI co-pilots designed to assist government agencies with technology related to communicable diseases, bioterrorism events, and environmental hazards.
Another player in the public health sector, Syra Health, has also been making waves by securing contracts with various local and state agencies within the past year. This includes agreements with the City of San Antonio, Indiana, Virginia
