Georgia football has emerged as a top priority for five-star defensive line recruit Justus Terry, who recently decommitted from the USC Trojans. This marks the second decommitment in two days for USC, with Terry following in the footsteps of five-star edge rusher Isaiah Gibson.
Terry had previously been committed to head coach Kirby Smart and Georgia before backing off and committing to the USC Trojans. However, his recent official visit to the University of Georgia may have played a role in his decision to decommit from USC.
As a key recruiting target for Georgia, Terry is highly sought after by the Bulldogs. The 6-foot-5, 275-pound defender currently plays for Manchester High School in Georgia. He is ranked as the No. 2 player at his position and the No. 2 player in the state, according to 247Sports, and is also ranked as the seventh-best player in the country.
Georgia football has a reputation for prioritizing elite talent on the defensive line, making Terry’s recommitment a crucial focus for the team. With already proving strong in recruiting, they are hopeful that Terry will choose to join their program once again before early signing day in December.
